I have no idea what the final destination will be once this blog takes off on its maiden flight!

This is the first post on the blog of SophieHamiltonBooks; a website dedicated to my writing & novels, and to all the elements that have inspired and informed my work. In fact, I have no idea what the final destination will be once this blog takes off on its maiden flight! All I know is that we’re going places …

I feel excited, nervous and full of anticipation, just as I do before every journey. Have I got anything to say? Is there anybody out there? Why am I doing this? HELP!

To calm my nerves, I’m packing a piece of advice for the journey from Kurt Vonnegut, one of my writing heroes, so when I’m feeling anxious, uninspired or lacking in confidence, I can take it out and read it. Then I’ll ask myself:

Are you going to blog? Are you going to get creative? Are you going to have fun writing? And the answer will be, ‘Hell, yeah!‘ …

So fasten your seat belts, we’re in for a bumpy ride. But hopefully it will be fun!
